I believe each student already possesses the seeds needed to grow.
We all come into this world expertly “singing,” with free, open, and well supported cries. These cries (and laughter!), natural to the human condition, contain the technical building blocks needed for great singing.
Helping students to associate singing with these natural sounds grounds them in pre-existing knowledge—helping them discover through intention instead of tension, confidence instead of doubt, and growth instead of stagnation.
As a certified massage therapist and scholar of the Alexander Technique, I broaden my Doctoral and Vocal Pedagogy education with my passion for anatomy, vocal science, and physiology. I use this expertise to help students stay connected with their whole body through mindfulness, breathing, drawing, and movement based approaches. Staying connected in our bodies and out of our heads is key for great singing!
I value combining intuitive teaching approaches with an unwavering focus on healthy techniques, solid practice habits, and goal completion.
Presenting a core curriculum individually tailored to serve each student’s particular needs and learning styles is essential.
My holistic approach combines mindfulness, movement, and vocal science to ensure students rediscover the deep innate connection to their true voice, consistent artistry, and confidence.
