Dr. Rose Beattie is a leading west coast Mezzo Soprano and vocal instructor. She performed as a young artist guest with Seattle Opera and holds roster positions with the Los Angeles Opera, the Los Angeles Master Chorale and the Los Angeles Philharmonic singing under such notable conductors as Gustavo Dudamel, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Grant Gershon, James Conlon, Placido Domingo, Leonard Slatkin, Michael Tilson Thomas, Lorin Maazel, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Bramwell Tovey, Charles Dutoit, and Herbert Blomstedt,
She received her Bachelor of Music degree from USC’s Thornton School of Music as well as her MM and DMA from UCLA’s Herb Alpert School of Music.
Dr. Beattie’s faculty positions include Lecturer for UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music, and vocal instructor for the Colburn School, Pasadena City College, American Music and Dramatic Academy (CCM and Musical Theater), as well as instructing adolescent and transitioning voices with the Los Angeles Children's Chorus.
Her performance experience ranges from classical, to session singing (most recently on Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of Skywalker),
to back-up vocals, musical theater, and the full range of choral music.
Dr. Beattie specializes in teaching all ages and genres.
